Over the past 10-15 years fragrance supply houses have seen an increasing concentration of their revenues in the hands of a few multinationals such as Procter & Gamble, Unilever, Colgate-Palmolive, L'Oreal and Estee Lauder. This led many of the leading fragrance suppliers to begin to cease doing business with their smaller clients who required extensive development resources for only small volume orders which were inefficient in the manufacturing process.

Luxury Solutions created a new strategy to serve these clients online and wrote the business plan for Givaudan Access. Luxury Solutions hired the initial management and technology team for this new division and worked with Givaudan's senior management to create the successful launch of this new division. In 2002 Givaudan won the FiFi Award for Technological Breakthrough of the Year for GivaudanAccess.
